In responce to your question about good uses for Garlic. This is the info I
have on had.
Magickally Garlic can used to be eaten on festival days to Hecate and offerings of garlic were left at crossroads for her. Garlic once used to be worn to ward off the plauge, You can still use it to ward off disease or to "suck" disease out of the body. You just peel a clove of garlic and rub it onto the area of the body you want to heal and then you throw the clove into running water. Garlic was used to cure hepatitis. People would wear
thirteen cloves of garlic tied onto a cord which was worn around the neck for thirteen days. On the last day in the middle of the night they would walk to an intersection of two streets and remove the the neclace. They would throw over their shoulder and walk home without looking back. Garlic was carried by sailors to protect them from ship wreakage Soilders in the middle ages wore garlic to defend them in war, and Roman soilders ate
Garlic to give them courage. You can place Garlic in the home to to guard against evil and robbers and their like. Or you can hang garlic over the door to deter envious people. You can use Garlic to guard against bad weather (good if you go mountain climbling) it also guards against monsters, and sheilds you from blows from enemies. If you have evil spirits about you can bite into a clove of garlic to send them on their way, or sprinkle powdered garlic on the floor (it smells for awhile though) If you have children placing garlic under their pillows will protect while they sleep. If your a bride to be to can carry a clove of garlic for good luck and to keep evil from you. Rubbing your pots and pans with garlic before cooking will ensure that food is not contaminated. Garlic also can be used
to induce lust. In terms of the body and health Garlic can be used to lower blood pressure. Studies have found the daily comsumption of garlic helps to reduce high blood pressure. You can also use Garlic (eaten raw) as a nasal decongestant. It is alos good for relieving the symptoms of colds due to its ant-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Garlic is best used raw as it has been found the the cooking process removes many of the benefits that garlic has to offer. Garlic also helps supress cholesterol, in the liver, and reduces harmful cholesterol and raises levels of good cholesterol (the cholerterol that breakes down fatty acids in the blood) The reccomended daily dose is 4g which about two small cloves of garlic. Garlic can also inhibit blood clotting and increase the rate at which blood clots are
broken down, but you will have to eat about 10 or more cloves a day for and effect of that nature to be noticed. For a rare number of people Garlic can cause allergic reaction and migrane, and i some it can irritate the skin causing contact dermititis. Garlic contains the vitamins A, B, and C as well as copper, sulpur, manganse, iron, and calcium. Garlic of course has a pretty distinctive odour, you can eat fresh parsley sprigs to help freshen
the breath, it has also be shown that odurless Garlic capsules are not as, and has much much fewer health benefits. I hope some of this has helped.
Brightest Blessings
